To use this password reset method you will either need to have configured previously:
- Microsoft Authenticator (Or Text/Call Verification) on your account. If you are a staff member of a council member you would have to have configured this when you setup your account.
- If you are a student you would need to have configured your security questions
- Visit m365.cloud.microsoft in a web browser (For example Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Safari)
- Click "Can't access your account?"
- Click "Work or school account"
4. Enter your @roedean.co.uk email address into the first box (Titled "Email or Username") and then enter the characters seen in the picture below into the second box. Then click the "Next" button
5. The option "I've forgotten my password" will be automatically ticked. Click the "Next" button
6. You will now need to verify that it is you. On the left you can choose from a few options depending on which authenticator method you setup on your account. You can select whichever option one best suits you:
- "Approve a notification on my authenticator app"
- This will send a notification to your Microsoft Authenticator app for you to click approve. After selecting this option click "Send Notification". In the Microsoft Authenticator app enter the code displayed on the website
- "Enter a code from my authenticator app"
- You will need to open your Microsoft Authenticator app and select the account labelled "Roedean". Enter the "One-time password code" from the app into the box on the website
- "Send a text to my mobile phone number"
- This will send a code to your mobile phone. On the website enter your phone number into the box - after you enter your number and click "Text" it will then ask you to enter the code text to your phone
- "Call my mobile phone number"
- This will call your phone. On the website enter your phone number into the box - after you enter your number and click "Call". The automated voice on the phone will talk you through the instructions on how to approve the request
7. Once you have verified your identity you will be asked to enter a new password. This password will need to meet the password requirements (These can be viewed here). Click the "Finish" button when done
- You will get the message "This password does not meet the length, complexity, age or history requirements of your corporate password policy" if the password you enter does not meet the password requirements
8. You can now login using your new password
